Placement Activities

Training

The Training and placement cell of SRI organizes seminars, guest lectures, Industrial visits etc as to expose the student to the best in the industry right from the beginning. Students are counseled & informed regularly regarding suitable higher education opportunities vide internal circulars / display of advertisements on notice boards.

BE II year & III year students were sent to various industries/organizations for practical training in semester breaks.

The students have visited Parichha Dam, Dabra Sugar Mill, BHEL Jhansi, Grasim Industry, Gwalior, Grassland Jhansi, Diamond Cement Taragram, orchha..

From third year onward, student would be making projects and the cell would ensure that the student get to train at the most prestigious and sought after industries to give them the cutting edge in their career.

Guidance & information regarding higher education in India & abroad including GRE/TOFEL/GATE/G-MAT & CAT were provided to the students through series of seminars/special lectures addressed by external experts / in-house faculty.

Personality Development

Students are counseled & informed regularly regarding suitable higher education opportunities vide internal circulars / display of advertisements on notice boards.

Personality Development classes were arranged regularly for students for improving their communication / presentation/managerial/decision making skills, subject knowledge, general awareness etc. External experts/in-house faculty addressed these personality development classes.

Seminars or personality development addressed by external experts were arranged for faculty members also.

SRI has a separate Training & Placement department, that monitors the Academia Industry Interaction at the Institute level. The department is responsible to enter into academic alliances with different Institutions/ Industry Sectors/Consortiums with a view to develop, refine or modify Curricula etc. as per specific needs.

Placement Cell and Career Guidance

By the start of the 5th semester, students are exposed to opportunities and get selected in campus interviews with attractive packages. SRI's high standards and close relationship with the industry brings some of the best recruiters in the industry for campus interviews. Some of the recruiters who have come to us time and again include reputed names like Wipro, HCL, Eicher, Siemens, ICICI, Mahindra, Idea and other national and multinational corporations.

Arriving On the Job Scene

The students too have reciprocated to our efforts and the selections percentage has been satisfactory. A 100% job placement record speaks for itself. With the SRI advantage, students have no trouble finding coveted positions in reputed corporate and business houses that visit our campus regularly every year, with an excellent salary package which is at par with international standards.

Nearly 20% of our graduates choose to pursue their higher studies in foreign or Indian universities. An enterprising 10% of the students opt to form their own ventures.

For achievement of the goals, teamwork is essential and the product in the offering has to be properly equipped to give the desired results. To have campus activities in the campus is easier said than done, but targets are meant to be achieved and with the support of the management and the entire faculty of the institutes, number of campus selection drives involving institutes from entire Madhya Pradesh Zone were organized at SRI. It was an achievement as the response for the visiting organizations have been very encouraging and has thrown floodgates of opportunities.

Maintains an ongoing marketing and corporate networking programme to place SRI students in business, government or private organizations and ensures a continuing pipeline of placement opportunities.

Placement Process

In SRI the campus recruitment is completed in following different steps:

The placement department sends placement invitation letters to the companies enclosing a brief summary of the courses available at SRI.

The Placement Performa (PFA) is required to be filled in by the company. The completed form along with a brief company profile, job profile and details about campus recruitment drive is to be sent by the company to the Placement Office.

The company can visit the campus for a Pre-Placement Talk either before the selection processes or can combine it with the final recruitment.

On receiving information file, the placement office announces the requirements of the company, asking interested students to submit their resumes, which are then handed over to the company.

The company is required to shortlist candidates from the application pool and eligibility data file sent and send the same with short listed candidates to the Placement Office at the earliest

A mutually convenient date is finalized for the selection process/ recruitment drive.

The company is required to furnish the final list of students preferably on the same day, or as soon as possible, after completion of the selection process.

The offer letters need to be sent to the Placement Office for handing over to the students. Offer acceptances (from the students) received, will be sent to the company by the Placement Office.
